Angelina Jolie plays the mistress of darkness (a.k.a wicked witch) Maleficent, in the upcoming Disney movie Maleficent. Retelling Disney's 1959 film Sleeping Beauty(source), this movie is about how the evil sorceress places a curse on Princess Aurora, and terrorizes her throughout the movie.
Ironically, Jolie's character Maleficent actually favors the demon god Baphomet! Baphomet is the horned god. She is known as the mistress of darkness and the beginning of evil; just Satan is known as the prince of darkness , and the beginning of evil. The Baphomet is the official symbol of the Church of Satan.

It is no accident she looks like baphomet. There are people who have no clue who or what baphomet is. Hollywood is not trying to hide what it is. Many years ago I read an article in Dell Horoscope Book. The astrologer stated Hollywood is demonic and had never seen such an evil horoscope. That should tell us something. T. W.

2. That so called TRUE LOVE KISS was not found between man and woman but between both female. (That spell was broken when Maleficent kissed Aurora)
3. If you follows the way of devil you will live hapily ever after. (Aurora living with Maleficent in Moors)
4. Not all devils are bad, they sometimes are good hearted too, like Maleficent.

DeleteThey love was agape not Eros. She loved her like a godmother loves a daughter. She kissed her on the forehead. Aurora's love broke Malificent down and she let down her wall of bitterness and was repentant of what she had done. The movie was about pure love. As far as the demonic undertones, unfortunately all Disney and other movies about the supernatural have them. In fact all secular movies have them. If not sorcery, then sex or blasphemy. So you have to take entertainment with a grain of salt and follow your own convictions. This movie was comparatively very light, in comparison to other films that are much more demonic.

I Love fantasy stories, but I was so torn because although the film was beautiful it was like watching satan tell his version of his fall. Satan disguises himself as an angel of light and does it well in this film.. The King is evil and cuts off "her" wings initiating her fall into darkness. She curses the girl(mankind) for revenge against the king, but then falls in "love" with the girl and 'saves" her and makes the girl the queen in the end.........the symbolism is creepy....
DeleteWhat I saw was a young girl who had feelings for a guy..the guy deceived the young girl Malificent so he could become King. she then found out he married and had a baby by another woman and that was her breaking point, she was crushed and (human nature) became angry and took it out on the baby...the mom and dad banished the baby Aurora to have 3 fairies take care of her,who tried to feed the baby carrots and Malificent actually had the bird bring her milk to drink or the baby would of died, and then Malificent also saved the young Aurora from walking off a cliff , the parents never even visited...Malificent grew to LOVE the child and even tried to REVOKE the spell she placed on her but she could not..., when the girl finally saw her father after 16 years he did not even hug her back but banished her again to her room, and malificent tried to save her again while the dad did nothing...and come to find out malifencent was the one who truly loved the child (even more than her mom and dad)...how is that demonic ? if the devil puts a curse on you he does not try to revoke it like malificent did...the ones who say this movie is demonic will never see it for themselves to decipher if it is or not and YES I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ
ReplyDeleteThe kiss is NOT sexually oriented that Maleficent gave to Aurora , it was a kiss on the forehead after she asked the sleeping child to forgive her for what she did...It had nothing to do with sexuality .

Maleficent developed a motherly attachment to Aurora.It made me quite sad that Aurora had waited 16 long years for pure and genuine agape affection. The true villain in this tale was the King. In his quest for power he let his heart be consumed by ruthless greed. He was first caught stealing enchanted jewels.He betrayed his friend Maleficent, even lied about having killed her so he could ascend to the throne, he let his wife die alone, relegated his daughter to be raised by dimwitted pixies.
ReplyDeleteMaleficent was the victim in the whole entire movie.Aurora was never shown love or affection until she met Maleficent. What Maleficent did to Aurora was out of her heart being broken. Everyone has said something hurtful to the ones they love and wish they would of never said it. Well that is Maleficent- she said something in the heat of the moment and wished so badly she could take it back.

Do not judge Maleficent because she looks like a pagan god, she was gentle, loving and felt human pain of hurt and emptiness and even expressed pure sorrow and guilt from what she done.. the King is the monster in this story not Maleficent.

DeleteA big production as a movie of Disney leaves nothing at random. Every detail has a meaning, a symbol.
So no, it will not have this satanic aspect without the costumes and dark magic, but the fact is : that's undeniable that in this movie that's the case.

ReplyDeleteHollywood likes to program us to believe that evil is good and good is evil. They use symbolism very overt way and still people cannot see. Symbolism tells you a whole lot more than words can sometimes. Look under the surface of Disney. Their message is not at all benevolent. A seemingly beautiful story with beautiful people and high emotionalism and moving music - be aware of the tools they use to - yes - brainwash you. Most importantly, read your Bible and ask Jesus Christ for wisdom, common sense and good judgement - we are told in Proverbs that He gives these things freely to all who ask. God will open your eyes to what the world is really about and you will never be the same.

When I was young I loved Black Sabbath. They have a song, NIB. It talks about incredible love and giving you the sun, moon and stars.....just take Lucifer's hand....
Be careful of whose hand you are taking. Satan doesn't come to us so horrible and ugly - he comes as a minister of light. Don't be fooled.

DeleteMaleficent is a decent movie, but I wouldn't call it a classic. Angelina Jolie looks incredible as Maleficent, but I was hoping to see more of an origin story about how Maleficent became the evil witch we all know her to be and while there is an origin to her character, its really not very interesting.The only bad thing about the movie is the three pixies who take care of Princess Aurora. I guess they're supposed to be some sort of comic relief but they just obnoxious and get way too much screen time. Also, Elle Fanning plays Princess Aurora and she just doesn't have the beautiful look of a Princess. Its obvious the new generation is going to like this better than us older people so if you have the animated classic "Sleeping Beauty" you should probably just watch that.
ReplyDeleteWhat malarkey is spouted that Maleficent is evil or even devil worship. The Disney character has horns, so what? An antelope has horns, a cow has horns, and a freaken goat has horns! Are we going to call a cow evil because it has horns!? Take the movie with a grain of salt and leave the Bible bashing at home to enjoy a freaken movie for what its worth people.
ReplyDeleteAlso Look at the fluffy cartoon and just so some of you know the originals were dark before Disney put a whole bunch of fluffernutter in it for younger audiences.
The Little mermaid dies in the original and turns into sea foam, the three step sisters do something each to their feet so there feet fit in the glass slippers, etc.. Each movie has its origins in darkness to teach a lesson, albeit a very nasty and impressinative lessen but one that would stay with children in days of old.
As far as the devil worship, get off your soap boxes. I'm happy with the life I lead because its what I'm comfortable with. Proud to be a Pagan, Goddess Bless.
