Entire Streets Erased in Damascus, Syria (Isaiah 17:1-2)

Article Source Jerusalem Online

New documentation from the Syrian rebels’ show the streets of Damascus completely erased. The roads and buildings were transformed into pits and stones. In Aleppo, the rebels launched an attack on Assad’s army forces in order to repel their advance.

The rebels have provided sad documentation of entire streets that were erased in recent attacks in the Syrian capital city of Damascus.  Instead of roads and buildings, one can only see pits, mounds of earth, and stones.
In recent days, many residents have fled the bombed out areas that they can no longer live in.  At the same time, Assad’s forces continue to use their favorite weapon, explosive barrels, which they drop indiscriminately on rebel strongholds throughout the country.
In Aleppo, the rebels attacked Assad’s forces in order to try to repel their progress into the neighborhoods that they control.

Isaiah 17:1-2

Amplified Bible (AMP)
17 The mournful, inspired prediction (a burden to be lifted up) concerning Damascus [capital of Syria, and Israel’s bulwark against Assyria]. Behold, Damascus will cease to be a city and will become a heap of ruins.
The cities of Aroer [east of the Jordan] are forsaken; they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

  1. I confess I have no idea why this is happening. At first I thought Assad was testing the weapons on his own people but this had been going on for a long time. He should know if the weapons work by now. T. W.
