Rise of Satanism in American and Last Days Satanic Revival

By Shofarsound

Satanism, or the worship of Satan, has been a subject of fascination and fear for centuries. In the United States, the rise of satanism has been a controversial topic, with some seeing it as a legitimate religious movement and others seeing it as a dangerous and subversive influence.

The history of satanism in the US dates back to the 1960s and 1970s when the Church of Satan was founded by Anton LaVey in San Francisco. LaVey’s brand of satanism was largely secular, focused on individualism and self-empowerment rather than the worship of a literal Satan. The Church of Satan gained media attention and a small following but remained relatively obscure.

In the 1980s, however, satanism became the subject of a moral panic, fueled by sensationalist media coverage and the testimony of supposed “victims” of satanic ritual abuse. This panic led to a wave of arrests and prosecutions of people accused of participating in satanic rituals and abusing children. However, many of these cases were later discredited, with evidence suggesting that the supposed abuse was largely a product of hysteria and suggestion.

Despite the backlash against the “Satanic Panic” of the 1980s, satanism has continued to be a subject of fascination for some Americans. In recent years, there has been a resurgence of interest in satanism, particularly among younger people. This new wave of satanism is largely influenced by the ideas of the Satanic Temple, a group founded in 2012 that advocates for secularism, individualism, and social justice.

The Satanic Temple has gained attention for its provocative actions, such as erecting a statue of the goat-headed deity Baphomet in public spaces and suing to have a Ten Commandments monument removed from the grounds of the Oklahoma State Capitol. The group has also advocated for reproductiverights, LGBTQ rights, and other progressive causes, using satanic imagery and language to challenge conservative Christian values.

While the Satanic Temple’s brand of satanism is largely non-theistic and focused on activism rather than worship, there are also traditional satanic groups that do worship Satan as a deity. These groups tend to be more secretive and underground than the Satanic Temple, but they do exist and have been linked to criminal activity in some cases.

Overall, the rise of satanism in the US is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon. While some see it as a legitimate expression of individualism and freedom, others view it as a dangerous and subversive influence. As with many controversial topics, the reality is likely somewhere in between, and the true nature and impact of satanism on American society will continue to be debated and discussed for years to come.

Seeing Mary Harrington's 2021 article How Satanism Conquered America: Untrammelled Individualism Is No longer a Sin, confirms the rise of satanism in American society. Here are some of the examples she quoted in the article that is eye-opening:

In 2021, even the idea of a priest as the main protagonist in a battle between good and evil feels, well, very 1973. These days, while there’s plenty of Satanist imagery about, overtly anti-Christian symbols seem either banal (Lil Nas selling Satan trainers) or just naff (WitchTok).

But if devilish imagery mostly feels a bit cringe, the Devil himself has gone mainstream. If being deliberately anti-Christian pour épater la bourgeoisie feels exhausting, for the new, post-Christian bourgeoisie Satan now reads like the good guy. And in the hands of this class, the Devil’s proverbial pride, self-regard, and refusal to yield isn’t just celebrated — it’s on its way to becoming the established religion of the United States of America.

We are seeing a full manifestation of open satanic worship taking place in our country, and in fact, this coming April 28-30, 2023 Satancon in Boston, MA is happening. The theme of the gathering in celebration of The Satanic Temple's 10-year anniversary is "Hexennacht in Boston," German for "Witches' Night," which marks the ancient pagan holiday of May Eve. The night was later changed to Walpurgisnacht to commemorate Walpurga, a Christian saint who evangelized Germany and was said to have exorcised demons from the sick. SatanCon will include discussion panels, entertainment, satanic rituals, a satanic wedding chapel, and a "satanic marketplace."

The Book of Revelation warns us of a satanic revival of demon worship will take place, Revelation 9:20-21 says, " But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk. And they did not repent of their murders or their sorceries or their sexual immorality or their thefts." We see the beginning of Bible Prophecy being fulfilled in our day and age.

Vampires Demons and Spirits of the Nephilim

In research, some vampire covens take their origins from Nephilim. They believe they are the offspring of half-breed children, half angelic and half-human. Covens base this on the supposing origins of vampires in Egypt and the Bible in the book of Genesis. In chapter six, there is an account of the Pre-Flood days of Noah. In Nephilim,  it is in the Pseudepigrapha  Book of  Enoch.

Why would these vampire covens believe vampires originated from the Nephilim? Nephilim were violent beings who began to kill and eat each other. During the Pre-Flood era, Nephilim had an extreme lust for blood. Then they begin to eat human beings and drink blood.

Here is the reason these vampire covens believe vampires originated from the Nephilim. During the Pre-Flood era, Nephilim had a blood lust. Nephilim were violent beings who began to kill and eat each other. Then they begin to eat human beings and drink blood. We find this in the Pseudepigrapha Book of  1 Enoch 7:3-6, Pseudepigrapha Book of Jubilees 7:21-29. This may explain why law six states not to eat live animals in the seven Noahide Laws. It also may explain the cause of the law being in effect. Nephilim ate both animals and human beings alive. Genesis 9:4 says, "But flesh with the life thereof, which is the thereof, shall ye not eat." Acts 15:20 says, "But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and fornication, and from things strangled, and blood."

Genesis 6:1-5

King James Version

6 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

1 Enoch 7:1-6:

1.Each of the two hundred chose a wife for himself and they began to go in unto them and to mate with them, and they taught them sorcery and enchantments, and the cutting of roots, and made them acquainted with plants.

2These women became pregnant and gave birth to great giants, whose height reached up to three thousand ells.

3These giants consumed all the food; and when men could no longer sustain them,

4the giants turned against them and devoured mankind.

5 They also began to sin against birds, and beasts, and reptiles, and fish, and to devour one another's flesh, and drink the blood.

6Then the earth laid accusations against the lawless ones.

Book of Jubilees 7:21-29

For owing to these three things came the flood upon the earth, namely, owing to the fornication wherein the Watchers against the law of their ordinances went a whoring after the daughters of men, and took themselves wives of all which they chose: and they made the beginning of uncleanness.

And they begat sons the Naphidim, and they were all unlike, and they devoured one another: and the Giants slew the Naphil, and the Naphil slew the Eljo, and the Eljo mankind, and one man another.

And every one sold himself to work iniquity and to shed much blood, and the earth was filled with iniquity.

And after this they sinned against the beasts and birds, and all that moves and walks on the earth: and much blood was shed on the earth, and every imagination and desire of men imagined vanity and evil continually.

And the Lord destroyed everything from off the face of the earth; because of the wickedness of their deeds, and because of the blood which they had shed in the midst of the earth He destroyed everything.

'And we were left, I and you, my sons, and everything that entered with us into the ark, and behold I see your works before me that ye do not walk in righteousness: for in the path of destruction ye have begun to walk, and ye are parting one from another, and are envious one of another, and (so it comes) that ye are not in harmony, my sons, each with his brother.

For I see, and behold the demons have begun (their) seductions against you and against your children and now I fear on your behalf, that after my death ye will shed the blood of men upon the earth, and that ye, too, will be destroyed from the face of the earth.

For whoso sheddeth man's blood, and whoso eateth the blood of any flesh, shall all be destroyed from the earth.

And there shall not be left any man that eateth blood, or that sheddeth the blood of man on the earth, Nor shall there be left to him any seed or descendants living under heaven; For into Sheol shall they go, And into the place of condemnation shall they descend, And into the darkness of the deep shall they all be removed by a violent death.

Since the Watchers manifested on Earth as angels, the Watchers were beings of spirit essence rather than flesh and blood. What these fallen ones invading Earth needed from humans was their blood and their flesh so that they might become corporeal beings. The Watchers and the Nephilim were the first real vampires to exploit humankind, and they continue today to feed on the life force of humans—both their blood and their spirit.

Once in physical bodies, the fallen angels taught their human wives to cast various spells and practice the arts of enchantment. They imparted to the women the lore of plants and the properties of certain roots. Semjaza did not neglect human men, teaching them how to manufacture weapons and tools of destruction.

1 Enoch 16:1

When the giants die and their spirits leave their bodies, their flesh will decay without judgment. In this way the race will cease to exist until the great judgment in which the age will be wholly consummated over the Watchers and the godless.

1 Enoch 15:8-12

8My judgment for the giants is that since they are born from flesh, they will be called evil spirits and will remain on the earth.

9Because they were created from above, from the holy Watchers, at death their

spirits will come forth from their bodies and dwell on the earth. They will be called evil spirits.

10The heavenly spirits will dwell in heaven, but the terrestrial spirits who were born on earth will dwell on earth.

11The evil spirits of the giants will be like clouds. They will afflict, corrupt, tempt, battle, work destruction on the earth, and do evil; they will not eat nor drink, but be invisible.

12They will rise up against the children of men and against the women, because they have proceeded from them.

The next time we do an article on this subject, we will look at vampires myths and legends around the world, which will give you clarity that vampires are viewed as demonic malevolent beings.

Disney Star Says She Has Gift to Hear and Talk to the Dead: Necromancy and Summoning Demons

Disney Channel star Vanessa Hudgens said she has a gift to hear and talk to dead people. Hudgens, while appearing on the Kelly Clarkson show this past Tuesday, Clarkson asked the 33-year-old star about her new passion in life for the paranormal. She told Clarkson it wasn't a new passion; however, she could hear and speak to spirits for a long time and is just now exposing the public.
Here are some of the quotes from Hudgens's interview with Clarkson:

"I remember getting ready for school when I was eight years old, and there was, like — you know those ducks that, like, is like the duck thing that you pull?" she added. "It's a toy. There was one of those on the dining room table, and I started walking, and it just started, like, going alongside me."
"And I kind of shut it down for a while because it's scary," Hudgens continued. "The unknown is scary, you can't, but I recently was like, no, this is a gift and something that I have the ability to do, so I'm going to lean into it."
Hudgens explained how she recently did what she called her first "real paranormal investigation" with equipment like a "spirit box," which she said basically "scans radio frequencies really quickly."
"The Disney" star shared how it's not a device that should be used in the city and needs to be taken out to the more rural areas, so it doesn't "pick up stations."
"And if you put on AM, it just sounds like static," the star said. "But something about the electricity it creates allows spirits to speak through it."
The superstar actress shared how she and a friend went to a graveyard at night, and we're sitting in front of a tombstone, where she said they both heard something from beyond communicating with them.
Does Vanessa Hudgens's gift come from God, or some other spiritual entities are communicating to her?

Famous Freemason Philosopher and Occultist Manly P. Hall on Ghost

In his book, "Secret Teachers of All Ages," Famous Freemason Philosopher and occultist Manly P. Hall  had this to say:

"The majority of modern mediumistic apparitions are but elemental creatures masquerading through bodies composed of thought substances supplied by the very persons desiring to behold these wraiths of discarnate beings (source)."

So Hall states that these beings aren't departed human souls, but indeed a spirit entity masquerading as that person's departed spirit.

Does The Bible Say That the Dead Can Speak to the Living?

Ecclesiastes 9:5-6

King James Version

5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.

Does The Bible Say That the Dead Can Haunt Houses?

 Job 7:9-10

King James Version

9 As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more.

10 He shall return no more to his house, neither shall his place know him any more.

Early Christian Theologians on Ghost

Here is what Tertullian had said in his writings as follows:

"You who serve stones, and ye who make image of gold, and silver, and wood, and stones, and serve phantoms, and demons. Tertullian 1.4

What  Tertullian was stating that demons took on the guise of idols, nature spirits,, and phantoms(in which in the Greek is for Ghost).

Treatise of the Soul 1.57 - Magic and sorcery only seem to raise the dead. Only God can really raise the dead. The medium of Endor could not have raised Samuel, it was a trick of her demon. Ghosts can't appear to people, only demons.

Divine Institutes 4.27 - Even the Greek gods flee when the name of Jesus is used. If a god is commanded to tell the truth it confesses that it is a demon. If one calls up Jupiter or one of the other from the dead, they would confess they were men and not gods and that there is only one true God. The spirits that pretend to be them lie.

As we can see from the writings of occultist Manly P Hall, the Bible, and the writings of Early Christian Theologians, one thing that both agree upon is that ghosts are really demon spirits that masquerade as the departed spirits of dead human beings who once lived upon the Earth. These are demonic spirits of deception; their main goal is to deceive mankind and lead people astray from YAH (G-d). Vanessa Hudgens is being deceived by seducing spirits and is truly in need of prayer that she sees the Truth and comes to salvation before being led down a demonic road of deception.

Oprah: Abortion and Black Genocide

By: Shofarsound/Endtimeshofar

What is the number one killer of Black Americans? Is it cancer? Is it AIDS? Is it Diabetes? Nope, it is not cancer, AIDS, or Diabetes. It is abortion! The total annual abortion deaths of African Americans is 317,547, versus the cause of all other deaths annually in the African American community is 286,797(4,138 AIDS, 6,100 Firearm Homicides, 12,771 Diabetes Deaths, 12, 299 Accidental Deaths, Cancer Deaths 66,158 Cancer Deaths, 90,888 Heart Disease). (1)

Who is behind this demonic agenda with the genocide of Black babies in America? In the 1930s, Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, and Dr. Clarence Gamble came up with a master plan to introduce birth control and sterilization of Black women here in America. (2) Sanger and Gamble would use Black ministers, Black doctors, and the Black elite to push this deceptive agenda, therefore setting the foundation of Black infanticide and genocide in the Black community. They called this The Negro Project.

In a December 10, 1939, letter, Sanger wrote to Dr. Gamble:

“We do not want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten that idea out if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”(3)

Gamble put together an extensive plan for the Negro project. He proposed recruiting Black doctors to serve with ministers as advocates for the birth control campaign. “There is great danger that [the project] will fail because the Negroes think it a plan for extermination,” Gamble wrote Sanger. “Hence let’s appear to let the colored run it” . . .(4)

Though it was led mainly and run by White men, the Negro Project used famous Black leaders from churches, Black organizations, and Black universities and placed those leaders in charge of the project throughout the southern states to push its agenda. (5)

Fast forward to the 21st-century media icon and New Age High Priestesses  Oprah Winfrey is a strong supporter of abortion. In the July 2018 issue of Oprah magazine "O The Oprah Magazine," Oprah featured "Shout Your Abortion" founder Amelia Bonow in its "Inspiration" section. (6) Bonow began the campaign to urge women to brag about aborting their unborn babies, has a book out called "Shout Your Abortion," on December 28, 2018, Bonow appeared in the video "Kids Meet Someone Who's Had An Abortion," talking to children about their preconceived notions about abortion and "edifying" them with her own experience. She also announced that she was releasing a children's book in 2020 on abortion. (7,8)

Oprah has used her "O The Oprah Magazine" as a launching pad for pro-abortion propaganda. In May of 2017, Oprah Magazine did a featured article on Christian Abortionist Dr. Willie Parker's book called "Life's Work A Moral Argument For Choice. (9) The magazine quotes Parker's book, which is laced with apostate Christian/New Age Spirituality theology(Oprah is one of the biggest celebrity promoters of the New Age Movement and has done more than anyone in the media to promote its agenda). Here are some of the quotes from Parker's book and the Oprah Magazine:

"As a devout Christian and one of the only physicians performing the procedure in the Deep South, Parker refuses to cede the moral high ground, making an impassioned case rooted in science, history, and theology for the sanctity of a woman's autonomy over her own body."(10)

"As a Christian, I feel that it's my job to help offer a counternarrative that God gave every woman gifts and the agency to realize those gifts and that nothing about choosing to terminate a pregnancy or delay childbearing puts a woman outside of God's love." (11)

"Humane theology was the foundation of Dr. George Tiller's practice. It dictates that alleviating suffering is a Christian's sacred responsibility. If God is in everything, and in everyone, then God is as much in the woman deciding to terminate a pregnancy as in her Bible."(12)

"The procedure room in an abortion clinic is as sacred as any other space to me.... God is meeting both of us where we are." (13)

Parker has some pretty eye-opening beliefs! He states that God is in everything and everyone, is not a Christian doctrine, however it is pantheism, and that the procedure room in the abortion clinic is sacred; it contradicts the Word of God by making murder sacred in the eyesight of God, in which the Word states it is murder and sin.

Dr. Willie Parker would make the racist founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, immensely proud today because Parker is following out Sanger's plan of genocide on Black people.

Proverbs 6:16-19

King James Version

16 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

Psalm 94:21

King James Version

21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

Isaiah 59:7

King James Version

7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.

Glenn Beck and Dallas Jenkins: Are Mormons Orthodox Christians?

By Shofarsound/Endtimeshofar

Glenn Beck is a conservative political commentator, radio host, and founder of Blaze multimedia. After leaving Fox News, he created Blaze Media. The traditional Christian community embraced Beck as a voice for conservative values and politics. Dallas Jenkins is a film and television director, writer, and producer. Jenkins is best known for being the creator, co-author, and director of the hit series The Chosen, which is based on the life of Jesus Christ.

Both Beck and Jenkins have been embraced, by the Christian media, such as Trinity Broadcast Network(TBN), Christian Broadcast Network(CBN), and Christian Post, as champions to the Christian community and leading voices for Christians in the news media industry and the entertainment industry. However, Beck and Jenkins profess to be Mormons, part of the Latter Day Saints Church.

We must examine does Mormon doctrine lines up with true Biblical doctrine? Are Mormons true Christians are cult that is masquerading as if it is just another Christian denomination?

Joseph Smith, the founder Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, also known as the Mormons, claims to be the restored church. He was an occultist around the time he started Mormonism. Along with the Book of Mormon, the Doctrine and Covenants, and the Pearl of Great Price, the LDS church uses the Bible to teach many strange doctrines. What are some of these doctrines and teachings of Mormonism?

Mormon Doctrine

  1. Mormon Doctrines(Source)
    1. There are many gods, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163); There is a mother goddess, (Articles of Faith, by James Talmage, p. 443); God used to be a man on another planet, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 321); After you become a good Mormon, you have the potential of becoming a god, (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pages 345-347, 354); God resides near a star called Kolob, (Pearl of Great Price, pages 34-35; Mormon Doctrine, p. 428).
      1. The Bible says there is only one God (Is. 43:1044:6845:5).  God is a trinity of persons–not three gods.  God is eternally God (Psalm 90:2); therefore, He was never a man.  God knows of no other gods (Is. 44:8).  You cannot become a god (Is. 43:10).  Mormonism is wrong.
      2. One God verses
        1. Isaiah 43:10, You are My witnesses, declares the Lord, And My servant whom I have chosen, in order that you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, and there will be none after Me.”
        2. Isaiah 44:6, “Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last, and there is no God besides Me.”
        3. Isaiah 44:8, “Do not tremble and do not be afraid; have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, or is there any other Rock? I know of none.”
        4. Isaiah 45:5, “I am the Lord, and there is no other; besides Me there is no God.”
    2. The Trinity is three separate gods, (James Talmage, Articles of Faith, p. 35); God is increasing in knowledge, (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 120); God has the form of a man, (Joseph Smith, Journal of Discourses, Vol. 6, p. 3).
    3. God the Father has a body of flesh and bones, (Doctrine and Covenants, 130:22);  God is married to his goddess wife and has spirit children, (Mormon Doctrine p. 516); We were first begotten as spirit children in heaven and then born naturally on earth, (Journal of Discourse, Vol. 4, p. 218).
      1. The Bible says that God is spirit (John 4:24) and that a spirit does not have flesh and bones (Luke 24:39).  Therefore, God doesn’t have a body of flesh and bones, and he isn’t married to a goddess wife.
    4. Jesus and Satan are spirit brothers, and we were all born as siblings in heaven to them both (Mormon Doctrine, p. 163); There is no salvation without accepting Joseph Smith as a prophet of God (Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. 1, p. 188); There are three levels of heaven: telestial, terrestrial, and celestial, (Mormon Doctrine, p. 348).
    5. The Holy Ghost is a male personage, (A Marvelous Work and a Wonder, p 118; Journal of Discourses, Vol. 5, page 179); Baptism for the dead, (Doctrines of Salvation, Vol. II, p. 141). This is a practice of baptizing each other in place of non-Mormons who are now dead. Their belief is that in the afterlife, the “newly baptized” person will be able to enter into a higher level of Mormon heaven.
  2. Joseph Smith boasted he did more than Jesus to keep a church together.
    1. Joseph Smith said, “I am the only man that has ever been able to keep a whole church together since the days of Adam . . . Neither Paul, John, Peter, nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from Him; but the Latter-day Saints never ran away from me yet.” (History of the Church, Vol. 6:408-9).
      1. Link:  http://www.carm.org/religious-movements/mormonism/joseph-smith-boasted-he-did-more-jesus-keep-church-together
  3. Mormonism condemns other religions.
    1. (Joseph Smith’s first vision) ” . . . I asked the personages who stood above me in the light, which of all the sects was right–and which I should join. I was answered that I must join none of them, for they were all wrong, and the personage who addressed me said that all their creeds were an abomination in His sight. . .” (History of the Church, Vol. 1, pages 5-6).
    2. “But He did send His angel to this same obscure person, Joseph Smith Jun., who afterwards became a Prophet, Seer, and Revelator, and informed him that he should not join any of the religious sects of the day, for they were all wrong.” (Brigham Young, “Journal of Discourses,” Vol. 2, page 171.–1855)
  4. Mormons have a different Jesus.
    1. “In bearing testimony of Jesus Christ, President Hinckley spoke of those outside the Church who say Latter-day Saints ‘do not believe in the traditional Christ.’ ‘No, I don’t. The traditional Christ of whom they speak is not the Christ of whom I speak. For the Christ of whom I speak has been revealed in this the Dispensation of the Fullness of Times.'” (LDS Church News Week ending June 20, 1998, p. 7)
  5. Book of Mormon
    1. Joseph Smith said, “I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book.” (History of the Church, Vol. 4, page 461).
    2. If the book of Mormon is more correct than the Bible and you can get closer to God by following it (History of the Church, 4:461), why does it not mention plurality of Gods, Word of Wisdom, God is an exalted man, celestial marriage, men may become Gods, three degrees of glory, baptism for the dead, eternal progression, the Aaronic Priesthood, and the Melchizedek Priesthood?
    3. Changes in the Book of Mormon
      1. 1 Nephi 11:18, (1830 edition) “And he said unto me, Behold, the virgin which thou seest, is the mother of [. . . . ] God, after the manner of the flesh.” VERSES (1981 edition) “And he said unto me: Behold, the virgin whom thou seest is the mother of the Son of God, after the manner of the flesh.”
      2. 1 Nephi 13:40, (1830 edition)” . . . and shall make known to all kindreds, tongues, and people, that the Lamb of God is [. . . . ] the Eternal Father and the Savior of the

  6. Questions for Mormons
    1. Why was Joseph Smith still preaching against polygamy in October 1843 after he got his revelation in July 1843 commanding the practice of polygamy? (Doc. & Cov. 132; and History of the Church Vol. 6, page 46, or Teachings of the Prophet, page 324).
    2. If the Book of Mormon is true, why do Indians fail to turn white when they become Mormons? (2 Nephi 30:6, prior to the 1981 revision).
    3. How did Joseph Smith carry home the golden plates of the Book of Mormon, and how did the witnesses lift them so easily? (They weighed about 230 lbs. Gold with a density of 19.3 weighs 1204.7 lbs. per cubic foot. The plates were 7″ x 8″ by about 6.” See Articles of Faith by Talmage, page 262, 34th ed.).
    4. If Moroni devoutly practiced the Mormon Gospel, why is he an angel now rather than a God? (Doc. & Cov. 132:17, 37)
    5. If Jesus was conceived as a result of a physical union between God and Mary, how was Jesus born of a virgin? (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 1, page 50).
    6. How did Nephi with a few men on a new continent build a temple like Solomon’s while Solomon needed 163,300 workmen and seven years to build his temple? (1 Kings 5:13-18 and 2 Nephi 5:15-17).
    7. God rejected the fig leaf aprons which Adam and Eve made (Gen. 3:21). Why do Mormons memorialize the fall by using fig leaf aprons in the secret temple ceremonies?
  7. Verses worth noting from LDS Scripture
    1. Book of Mormon
      1. Sufficiently Humble, Alma 5:27, “Have ye walked, keeping yourselves blameless before God? Could ye say, if ye were called to die at this time, within yourselves, that ye have been sufficiently humble? That your garments have been cleansed and made white through the blood of Christ, who will come to redeem his people from their sins?”
      2. Mocking Brother,   Alma 5:29-31, “Behold, I say, is there one among you who is not stripped of envy? I say unto you that such an one is not prepared; and I would that he should prepare quickly, for the hour is close at hand, and he knoweth not when the time shall come; for such an one is not found guiltless.  30 And again I say unto you, is there one among you that doth make a mock of his brother, or that heapeth upon him persecutions?  31 Wo unto such a one, for he is not prepared, and the time is at hand that he must repent or he cannot be saved!”
      3. Jesus born in Jerusalem:  Alma 7:10, “And behold, he shall be born of Mary, at Jerusalem which is the land of our forefathers, she being a virgin, a precious and chosen vessel, who shall be overshadowed and conceive by the power of the Holy Ghost, and bring forth a son, yea, even the Son of God.
      4. Saved after all you can do:  2 Nephi 25:23, “For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all, we can do.”
      5. Grace is sufficient after you deny yourself of all ungodliness.  Moroni 10:32, “Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and IF YE SHALL DENY YOURSELVES OF ALL UNGODLINESS, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, THEN IS HIS GRACE SUFFICIENT FOR YOU, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.”
        1. Have you denied yourself of all ungodliness?  If not, then God’s grace isn’t sufficient for you.  Remember, you must deny yourself of ALL ungodliness, or you don’t have God’s grace . . . which would mean you are lost.  So, have you denied yourself of all ungodliness according to YOUR scriptures?
      6. Must forsake your sins:  DC 58:43, “By this ye may know if a man repenteth of his sins—behold, he will confess them and forsake them.”
      7. Former Sins Return, DC 82:7, “And now, verily I say unto you, I, the Lord, will not lay any sin to your charge; go your ways and sin no more; but unto that soul who sinneth shall the former sins return, saith the Lord your God.”
        1. If you don’t perform perfectly, and you sin again after repenting, the form of sins return.  How is this forgiveness?
    2. Doctrine and Covenants
      1. Celestial Law, “For he who is not able to abide the law of a celestial kingdom cannot abide a celestial glory,” (DC 88:22).–following are excerpts from LDS.org, search on celestial law requirements
        1. “If we are fully obedient to celestial law, fulfilling the laws of Christ, we will be worthy of celestial glory. But for those who do not fully comply with celestial law, other lesser degrees of glory have been prepared . . . ” (Delbert L. Stapley, The Blessings of Righteous Obedience, Ensign, Nov. 1977, 18).
        2. respect the opposite sex so that even lustful thoughts are foreign to the mind,” (C. Kent Dunford, Are You Ready to Be a Disciple of Christ? New Era, Apr. 1975, 26)
        3. “Obedience to Celestial Law Tithing is a part of the celestial law referred to in this revelation. Obedience to it is a prerequisite to being quickened in the resurrection by the fulness of the celestial glory,” (Marion G. Romney, The Blessings of an Honest Tithe, New Era, Jan.Feb. 1982, 45).
        4. “When we talk of the celestial law which is revealed from heaven, that is, the Priesthood, we are talking about the principle of salvation, a perfect system of government, of laws and ordinances, by which we can be prepared to pass from one gate to another, and from one sentinel to another, until we go into the presence of our Father and God . . . (Teachings of Presidents of the Church: Brigham Young, 18: The Priesthood, 125)
        5. “But what the scriptural account means is that to gain celestial salvation we must be able to live these laws to the full if we are called upon to do so. Implicit in this is the reality that we must in fact live them to the extent we are called upon so to do,” (Bruce R. McConkie, Obedience, Consecration, and Sacrifice, Ensign, May 1975, 50).

What Would Early Christians Have to Say About Mormonism?

Would early Christians have embraced Mormon doctrine as the Truth of God's Word? Here is some of the early Christian writings that would refute Mormon doctrine:

Against Marcion 5.10 – Paul asks “What will they do who are baptized for the dead, if the dead do not raise?” Don’t suppose that some new god is the author of this practice. Rather, it was so he could firmly insist upon the resurrection of the body. Therefore, to be “baptized for the dead” means to be baptized for the body. In other words “What will they do who are baptized for the physical body, if the dead do not raise?”
Against Marcion 2.8 – Man has an immortal soul coming from God, but it is not God. by Tertullian

Stromata 5.12 – Jesus is the only begotten God.
Stromata 5.14 – God the Father does not have a physical body. by Clement of Alexandria
